Exfoliate 24 hours before and skip moisturiser, deodorant and oils on the day, then use the mitt to work 2–3 pumps of mousse over one area at a time in long strokes, buffing the leftover product into hands, knees, ankles and feet so joints don't go dark. Leave it to develop for 4–6 hours (or overnight) in loose, dark clothing before rinsing off the guide colour, and moisturise daily afterwards to keep the fade even.
